How to do it
Set up in a forearm plank but place your elbows wider than your shoulders, which lengthens the lever and raises the demand. Hold a straight line from head to heels, keeping your core braced and hips level.
- 1Feel your abs and deep core working harder because of the wide arm
- 2position
- 3Squeeze your glutes and keep your body in one straight line
- 4Pull your elbows lightly toward your toes to stay tight
Common mistakes
- Don't let your hips sag toward the floor
- Avoid piking your hips up to make it easier
- Don't hold your breath; breathe steadily through the hold
