How to do it
Kneel facing a wall and place an ab wheel on the floor with your hands on the handles. Roll the wheel forward until it touches the wall, which limits your range and protects your back, then pull it back toward your knees by bracing your abs. The wall sets a safe stopping point.
- 1Your abs bracing hard to stop your hips from sagging
- 2A controlled stretch through your core as the wheel rolls out
- 3Your lats and abs pulling the wheel back in
Common mistakes
- Letting your lower back arch or your hips drop as you extend
- Rolling out past the wall or beyond what you can control
- Pulling back with your arms instead of your core
