How to do it

Sit on the floor leaning back slightly with your feet off the ground and a weight held at your chest. Tuck your knees in toward your chest while crunching your torso forward, then extend your legs back out under control without letting them touch down.

  1. 1A deep squeeze through the lower abs as knees and chest meet
  2. 2Constant tension with your feet hovering off the floor
  3. 3The added weight making each crunch harder to hold

Common mistakes

  • Resting your feet down between reps
  • Yanking your knees in with momentum
  • Rounding into your lower back instead of crunching the abs
