How to do it
Walk up the wall into a handstand position as you would in a wall walk. Once stable with your feet on the wall and your body vertical, lift one hand off the floor to tap the opposite shoulder while maintaining balance. Place your hand back down and repeat with the other hand. Continue alternating shoulder taps for the desired reps, then walk back down the wall to the starting position.
- 1As you walk up the wall, engage your shoulders and core; you should feel your upper body stabilising you
- 2Once in a handstand position, alternate tapping your shoulders with the opposite hand, feeling your core and arms work to maintain balance
- 3Keep your body tight and your glutes and abs engaged throughout the movement
Common mistakes
- Don't arch your lower back or let your hips sag during the wall walk
- Avoid rushing the shoulder taps, maintain control and balance
- Don't flare your elbows or collapse through your wrists; keep your arms strong
