How to do it
Walking forward, kick one leg straight up in front of you and reach the opposite hand to touch your toes at the top of the kick. Lower the leg, step forward, and repeat on the other side. Keep your legs straight and your chest tall through each kick.
- 1A dynamic hamstring stretch at the top of each kick
- 2Your core bracing as you reach for the opposite toes
- 3Tall posture with your chest up between kicks
Common mistakes
- Bending the kicking knee to reach higher
- Rounding your back down to the foot instead of kicking up
- Rushing so the kick loses control
Muscles worked
The walking toe touch mainly works the hamstrings, with the upper abs, lower abs, hip flexors, obliques, and quads assisting.
