How to do it
Sit on the floor and lean your torso back slightly while lifting your straight legs up, forming a V shape balanced on your tailbone. Hold the position or raise and lower the legs while keeping the chest tall and core tight.
- 1Deep contraction through the entire abdominal wall to hold the V
- 2Hip flexors working with the abs to keep the legs up
- 3Balance on the tailbone with the chest staying tall
Common mistakes
- Rounding the back and collapsing the chest
- Bending the knees to make the hold easier
- Holding your breath instead of breathing steadily
Muscles worked
The v sit on floor mainly works the upper abs, lower abs, and hip flexors, with the obliques and quads assisting.
