How to do it
Sit balanced on your glutes with your legs lifted and torso leaned back to form a V shape. Hold that position and throw alternating cross punches across your body, rotating slightly through the trunk with each punch while keeping your feet off the floor.
- 1Feel your abs work hard to hold the V and keep your balance
- 2Rotate from your obliques as you punch across your body
- 3Keep your chest tall and core braced the entire set
Common mistakes
- Don't let your feet drop or your back round
- Avoid punching so hard you lose the V position
- Don't hold your breath; keep breathing through the punches
Muscles worked
The v sit cross punch mainly works the upper abs, lower abs, and obliques, with the hip flexors and quads assisting.
