How to do it
Sit with your back flat against a wall and your legs extended in front of you. Lift both legs off the floor and raise your torso so your body forms a V shape, using the wall for support. Hold this position with your core braced and your back pressed into the wall.
- 1Deep contraction through your abs holding the V
- 2Hip flexors working to keep your legs raised
- 3Back staying pressed into the wall for support
Common mistakes
- Letting your lower back round away from the wall
- Dropping your legs or chest to cheat the hold
- Holding your breath instead of breathing steadily
Muscles worked
The v sit against wall mainly works the lower abs, upper abs, and hip flexors, with the obliques and quads assisting.
