How to do it

Stand with your feet together and knees slightly bent, arms held in front for balance. Hop off the ground and rotate your hips and legs to one side while keeping your upper body facing forward. Land softly, then immediately hop and twist to the other side, building a quick rotational rhythm.

  1. 1Twist through your hips and core to drive the rotation
  2. 2Land soft and absorb the hop through your knees
  3. 3Keep your chest and shoulders facing forward as your legs turn

Common mistakes

  • Do not land with locked, stiff legs
  • Avoid twisting only your knees instead of your hips
  • Do not let your upper body swing with the legs
