How to do it

Set into an athletic stance behind a Torque tank or weighted sled, hands gripping the high or low handles with arms extended and torso leaned forward. Brace your core and drive the tank forward by pushing hard through alternating legs, taking powerful steps and keeping your hips low and back flat throughout.

  1. 1Quads and glutes powering each forward step
  2. 2Calves driving off the floor on every push
  3. 3Core braced and torso angled forward into the tank

Common mistakes

  • Standing too upright and losing your forward drive
  • Letting your back round as you push
  • Short choppy steps instead of long powerful strides

Muscles worked

The torque tank push mainly works the quads and glutes, with the hamstrings, calves, forearms, lower back, and lower abs assisting.
