How to do it

Lie on your back with arms extended out to your sides and legs lifted toward the ceiling with a slight bend in the knees. Keeping your shoulders pinned to the floor, rotate both legs together to one side, lower them under control, then sweep back through center to the other side.

  1. 1Your obliques and lower abs controlling the swing of your legs
  2. 2Shoulders staying anchored to the floor for a stable base
  3. 3Slow, controlled rotation with constant tension through the core

Common mistakes

  • Letting your shoulders peel off the floor as your legs swing
  • Using momentum to throw your legs side to side
  • Arching your lower back; keep the ribs down

Muscles worked
