How to do it

Stand in front of a sturdy box and place one foot flat on top. Drive through that heel to step up until your leg is straight, then lower back down under control and repeat or alternate legs.

  1. 1Drive through the lead heel to feel your glutes and quads lift you
  2. 2Keep your torso upright and core braced
  3. 3Squeeze the glute at the top and control the descent

Common mistakes

  • Don't push off the trailing leg or hop up
  • Avoid letting your knee cave inward
  • Don't lean forward or arch your back
