How to do it

Stand tall with arms reaching overhead in a wide star shape. Drive one knee up while twisting your torso so the opposite elbow reaches toward that knee, then return to the open star. Alternate sides with a quick, controlled rhythm.

  1. 1Feel your obliques crunch as your elbow meets the opposite knee
  2. 2Drive the knee up high with your hip flexor
  3. 3Stretch tall back into the star between each rep

Common mistakes

  • Don't just bend forward; rotate through the waist
  • Avoid letting the knee drive stay low
  • Don't lose your balance by rushing the twist
