How to do it

Stand tall and lift one knee toward your chest while bringing the opposite elbow across to meet it. Return to standing, then repeat on the same side for the set, mimicking a single-side bicycle crunch. Keep the core engaged throughout.

  1. 1Obliques crunching the elbow toward the knee
  2. 2Hip flexors pulling the knee up high
  3. 3Balance held steady on the standing leg

Common mistakes

  • Rounding the upper back instead of rotating
  • Letting the standing knee wobble or cave
  • Rushing the rep so the twist gets shallow
