How to do it
Start in a plank position with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width. Bend your elbows to lower your chest toward the floor while keeping your body straight. Press back up to the starting position.
- 1Engage your chest and triceps during the push-up phase
- 2Feel your core and obliques working as your knee moves toward your elbow
- 3Maintain a strong plank position throughout
Common mistakes
- Don't let your hips drop or your lower back sag
- Avoid flaring your elbows too far out
- Don't rush, make each rep controlled and deliberate
