How to do it

Drive the sled forward by pushing through your legs, keeping your body low and core engaged. Maintain consistent pace and control.

  1. 1Lean slightly forward and drive through your feet to pull the sled, feeling your glutes, hamstrings, and calves powering each stride
  2. 2Keep your arms extended or at your sides, depending on handle position, and engage your core for stability
  3. 3Maintain a steady pace and feel constant tension as the sled resists your movement

Common mistakes

  • Don't hunch your shoulders or round your back while pulling
  • Avoid dragging the sled with your arms or letting it jerk you backward
  • Don't take overly long strides that compromise your balance or form

Muscles worked

The sled pull mainly works the quads and glutes, with the hamstrings, lower back, and calves assisting.
