How to do it
Sit in a sled leg press machine with your feet placed close together, low and centered on the platform. Unlock the safety bars and lower the platform by bending your knees toward your chest. Press through your whole foot to extend your legs, then return under control without locking out.
- 1Feel your quads, especially the outer sweep, drive the platform away
- 2Keep your lower back pressed into the seat and knees tracking over your feet
- 3Press through your whole foot and control the return
Common mistakes
- Do not lock out your knees or let them cave inward
- Do not let your hips lift off the seat at the bottom
- Do not cut the range short by loading too much weight
