How to do it

Sit in the 45-degree sled press with your back flat against the pad and feet shoulder-width on the platform. Unlock the safety bars and lower the sled by bending your knees, then drive through your heels to extend your legs without locking out.

  1. 1Your quads, glutes, and hamstrings pushing the platform away
  2. 2Your lower back pressed into the pad and knees tracking over toes
  3. 3Pressure through your whole foot with a controlled return

Common mistakes

  • Locking out your knees or letting them collapse inward
  • Letting your hips lift off the pad at the bottom
  • Using too much weight at the expense of range
