How to do it
Sit on the edge of a padded stool and lean your torso back slightly, gripping the sides for support. Raise one knee toward your chest while twisting your torso so the opposite elbow rotates toward that knee. Lower under control and alternate sides, driving the rotation from your obliques each rep.
- 1Your obliques rotating your torso toward the lifting knee
- 2Your hip flexors and lower abs driving the knee up
- 3A controlled twist and return with steady core tension
Common mistakes
- Don't fling your torso; rotate with control from the obliques
- Avoid swinging the knee up with momentum
- Don't round your neck or hunch; keep the work in your core
