How to do it
Sit on the edge of a chair and lean back slightly, gripping the sides for support. Extend both legs out straight in front of you, then pull your knees in toward your chest and extend back out, keeping your feet off the floor the whole time.
- 1Lower abs working to pull the knees in
- 2Hip flexors engaging as you extend the legs out
- 3A slight backward lean keeping tension on the abs
Common mistakes
- Resting your feet on the floor between reps
- Yanking the legs with momentum instead of control
- Rounding forward and losing tension in the abs
