How to do it
Lie on your back and hook your feet under the base of a sturdy chair to anchor your lower body. Engage your core to sit all the way up toward your knees, then lower back down under control.
- 1Abs crunching to pull your torso up
- 2Feet anchored under the chair for leverage
- 3Controlled descent rather than dropping back
Common mistakes
- Yanking on your neck with your hands
- Rounding up with momentum instead of your core
- Using a light chair that lifts when you pull
Muscles worked
