How to do it
Stand on one leg in front of a low box or bench with the other leg held out in front. Push your hips back and bend the standing knee to lightly tap your seat to the box, then drive through your heel to stand back up. Keep your chest tall and the working knee tracking over your toes.
- 1Feel the quad and glute of the standing leg control the descent
- 2Tap the box lightly without dropping your weight onto it
- 3Keep your chest up and knee aligned over your toes
Common mistakes
- Avoid letting the knee cave inward
- Don't plop down or bounce off the box
- Avoid rounding your back as you sit back
