How to do it

Position yourself face down on the floor, supporting your body on your forearms and toes. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels, engage your core and hold the position.

  1. 1Hold a side plank and lift your top leg and arm to create a star shape
  2. 2Engage your glutes, obliques, and shoulder stabilizers
  3. 3Maintain a straight line from your head to your bottom foot

Common mistakes

  • Don't let your hips sag or rotate
  • Avoid shrugging your bottom shoulder up toward your ear
  • Don't lose control of your raised leg, lift it deliberately

Muscles worked
