How to do it

Set up in a side plank on your forearm with your body in a straight line. Drive your top knee up toward your chest and elbow, then extend it back out without letting your hips drop. Repeat for reps, then switch sides.

  1. 1Your bottom-side obliques firing to hold the hips up
  2. 2A crunch through the side of your waist as the knee drives in
  3. 3Your shoulder stacked and pushing the floor away

Common mistakes

  • Letting your hips sag toward the floor on each tuck
  • Rotating your torso forward as you bring the knee in
  • Collapsing into your supporting shoulder
