How to do it
Lie on your side with your bottom knee bent and resting on the floor and your forearm under your shoulder. Press your hip up so your body forms a straight line from knee to shoulder. Hold, then lower with control and repeat on the other side.
- 1Feel your obliques and the side of your hip working to hold the bridge
- 2Stack your top shoulder over the bottom and keep your hips square
- 3Press your forearm into the floor to keep your shoulder stable
Common mistakes
- Don't let your hips sag toward the floor
- Avoid rolling your chest or hips forward or back
- Don't shrug your bottom shoulder up toward your ear
