How to do it
Sit on the edge of a chair and lean back slightly, holding the sides for support. Lift both legs together with knees bent, then sweep them side to side like windshield wipers, keeping your shoulders and torso facing forward and your core engaged.
- 1Feel your obliques control your legs as they sweep side to side
- 2Keep your torso steady and facing forward while the legs move
- 3Move slowly to keep tension on your sides
Common mistakes
- Avoid swinging your legs with momentum
- Don't let your torso twist along with your legs
- Don't round your lower back as you sweep
