How to do it
Sit tall on a chair with both feet flat. Straighten one leg out in front of you until your knee locks, lifting the foot off the floor, then lower it back down with control. Complete your reps and switch legs.
- 1Feel the front of your thigh contract as you straighten the leg
- 2Squeeze the quad hard at the top with the knee locked
- 3Keep your torso tall and still through each rep
Common mistakes
- Do not lean back or rock to lift the leg
- Avoid swinging the leg up with momentum
- Do not let the foot drop quickly; lower with control
