How to do it
Sit tall on the edge of a sturdy chair with your core braced and hands resting on your thighs. Lift one hand and tap the opposite shoulder, then return it and repeat on the other side, keeping your torso still and square throughout.
- 1Your core bracing to keep your torso from twisting as each hand lifts
- 2The shoulder of the supporting side staying stable
- 3Slow, deliberate taps with no rocking side to side
Common mistakes
- Twisting or leaning to reach the shoulder
- Rushing the taps and losing torso control
- Slouching or letting your chest collapse
