How to do it
Sit on the floor and bend one leg so your heel tucks toward your glute and your knee points forward, keeping the other leg comfortable. Gently ease your torso back to deepen the stretch through the front of the bent thigh. Hold, breathing steadily, then switch sides.
- 1A stretch through the front of your thigh and hip
- 2Your knee staying pointed forward as you lean back
- 3Steady breathing letting the quad gradually release
Common mistakes
- Forcing your knee or wrenching the ankle to go deeper
- Letting the bent knee splay out to the side
- Holding your breath or bouncing into the stretch
