How to do it
Sit on the floor leaning back slightly with your hands behind you for support and your legs extended off the floor. Keeping your legs together and straight, draw large circles in the air with your feet, reversing direction partway through the set.
- 1The lower abs and hip flexors working to move the legs in a circle
- 2Your torso staying braced and still as the legs travel
- 3Continuous tension with the feet never touching down
Common mistakes
- Letting your lower back round or collapse
- Resting your feet on the floor between circles
- Using your arms to push instead of bracing the core
Muscles worked
The seated circle leg crunch mainly works the lower abs and hip flexors, with the obliques, upper abs, quads, and adductors assisting.
