How to do it
Sit on the edge of a chair and lean back slightly, holding the sides for support. Lift your feet off the floor and bring opposite elbow toward opposite knee while pedaling your legs in a cycling motion, alternating sides in a steady rhythm.
- 1Feel your obliques rotate as each elbow drives toward the opposite knee
- 2Keep your lower abs engaged to hold the leaned-back position
- 3Move in a smooth pedaling rhythm rather than rushing
Common mistakes
- Don't yank on your neck or head to reach across
- Avoid letting your feet touch the floor between reps
- Don't round your lower back as you twist
Muscles worked
