How to do it

Lie face down and place your hands under your shoulders. Press your upper body up while keeping your hips on the floor, then rotate your torso to look over one shoulder until you feel a stretch through the abs and side, then switch.

  1. 1A stretch across the front and side of your abs
  2. 2Your hips staying down on the floor
  3. 3A gentle twist that opens one side at a time

Common mistakes

  • Lifting your hips off the floor as you press up
  • Cranking the rotation into lower-back pain
  • Shrugging your shoulders toward your ears
