How to do it

Lie on your back and rest both heels in a pair of low rings or straps, with a yoga block under your hips for support. Drive your heels down and bend your knees to curl your hips toward the rings, then slowly straighten your legs under control. The block keeps your hips elevated so the hamstrings stay loaded.

  1. 1Your hamstrings pulling your heels in toward your hips
  2. 2Glutes staying tight to hold the hips up
  3. 3Even tension through both legs the whole way

Common mistakes

  • Don't let your hips drop as you straighten your legs
  • Avoid yanking the rings in fast and dropping out slowly
  • Don't arch your lower back to cheat the curl
