How to do it

Anchor a resistance band low and loop it around your ankles while lying face-down, or around one ankle. Keeping your thighs pressed down, curl your heels toward your glutes against the band, squeeze the hamstrings at the top, then lower slowly to feel a stretch.

  1. 1The hamstrings contracting as you curl your heels toward your glutes
  2. 2Your hips pressed down and thighs steady
  3. 3A slow lower against the band to feel the stretch

Common mistakes

  • Letting your hips lift or your lower back arch
  • Swinging your legs or relying on momentum
  • Letting the band snap your legs back down
