How to do it
Sit at a preacher bench with the backs of your arms resting flat on the pad and grip the bar with palms up. Curl the weight up by contracting your biceps, then lower under control to a near-full stretch. Keep your wrists straight and neutral, not bent back, through the whole rep.
- 1Feel the biceps work hard with the arms locked on the pad
- 2Keep your wrists straight and let the biceps do the lifting
- 3Control the stretch at the bottom of each rep
Common mistakes
- Don't curl or bend the wrists to help move the weight
- Avoid lifting your elbows off the pad
- Don't bounce out of the bottom stretch
