How to do it

Begin in a high plank with hands under your shoulders and body in a straight line. Rise onto the balls of your feet and the tips of your fingers, holding the point position with everything braced tight. Maintain the hold for the desired time, breathing steadily.

  1. 1Feel your entire core lock in to hold the straight line
  2. 2Squeeze your glutes and quads to keep your hips level
  3. 3Press the floor away through your hands to stay tall through the shoulders

Common mistakes

  • Do not let your hips sag or pike up
  • Avoid holding your breath; keep breathing steady
  • Do not let your head drop; keep your neck in line
