How to do it
Start in a high plank with hands under your shoulders and body in a straight line. Step both hands and both feet to one side for several reps, then walk back the other way, keeping your hips level the whole time.
- 1Feel your obliques and shoulders working to keep your hips from swaying
- 2as you step
- 3Keep your body in one straight line from head to heels throughout the walk
- 4Brace your core hard and move each hand and foot with control
Common mistakes
- Do not let your hips rock or rotate as you shuffle sideways
- Avoid letting your hips sag or pike up out of the plank line
- Do not rush the steps and lose tension through your midsection
