How to do it
Start in a high plank or bear position. Lift one hand and the opposite foot, rotating your hips open as you kick that leg through and under your body to the far side, reaching your foot out. Return to plank and alternate sides. The rotation drives your obliques while your shoulders and core stabilize.
- 1Feel your obliques drive the rotation as the leg kicks through
- 2Keep the planted shoulder stable as you open your hips
- 3Move with control through each rotation and return
Common mistakes
- Avoid letting your hips drop as you kick through
- Do not rush and lose control of the rotation
- Avoid collapsing into the supporting shoulder
