How to do it

Stand tall and drive one knee up while twisting your torso to bring the opposite elbow toward it. As you lower that leg, extend it into a front kick before returning to center. Alternate sides at a steady, athletic pace.

  1. 1Feel your obliques rotate the torso into each knee drive
  2. 2Feel your hip flexor and quad snap the kick out
  3. 3Keep your core braced to stay balanced through the twist and kick

Common mistakes

  • Don't swing the kick wildly and lose control
  • Avoid only bending forward instead of rotating
  • Don't drop your chest or hunch as you fatigue
