How to do it
Start in a downward-dog pike with hips high. Swoop your chest down and forward toward the floor, then press your chest up and hips down into a low cobra. Reverse the path back to the pike. Drop to your knees as needed to scale it.
- 1Feel a stretch through your shoulders and chest on the swoop down
- 2Press your chest forward and hips down at the bottom of the arc
- 3Feel your triceps and shoulders guide the motion back to the pike
Common mistakes
- Don't let your hips collapse flat onto the floor
- Avoid rushing; keep the motion fluid and controlled
- Don't strain your neck; let your gaze follow the arc
