How to do it

Lie on your back with your legs raised toward the ceiling and your hands by your sides or under your hips. Lift your hips off the floor and swipe your feet upward, pushing them toward the ceiling, then lower with control. Keep the movement driven by the lower abs rather than swinging the legs.

  1. 1Your lower abs lifting your hips off the floor
  2. 2A controlled upward swipe through the heels
  3. 3Your core staying braced as the hips lower

Common mistakes

  • Swinging your legs to throw the hips up
  • Letting your lower back arch as you lower
  • Pushing through the heels instead of curling the pelvis
