How to do it
Lie on your back with your legs extended and hands at your sides or under your hips for support. Raise your straight legs to vertical, then lift your hips off the floor to press your feet toward the ceiling. Lower your hips, then lower your legs with control.
- 1Feel your lower abs work to lift the legs and then curl the hips up
- 2Press your feet straight toward the ceiling at the top
- 3Lower slowly and keep your lower back pinned to the floor
Common mistakes
- Don't swing your legs up with momentum
- Avoid letting your lower back arch as you lower the legs
- Don't push off your hands; drive the lift from your core
