How to do it
Stand in front of a box or bench holding a kettlebell, either in the goblet position at your chest or in one hand at your side. Plant one foot firmly on the platform and drive through that heel to step up until your leg is straight. Step down under control and repeat, finishing your reps before switching legs.
- 1Drive through your lead heel so your glutes and quads lift you up
- 2Keep your torso upright and core engaged for balance
- 3Squeeze your glute at the top and control the way down
Common mistakes
- Do not push off hard with your trailing leg or hop up
- Avoid letting your knee collapse inward or shoot past your toes
- Do not lean forward or arch your back
