How to do it
Hold a kettlebell at your chest in both hands and step forward into a lunge until both knees bend to about 90 degrees. At the bottom, rotate your torso toward your front leg, then rotate back to center as you push up to standing. Alternate legs each rep.
- 1Feel your front leg drive while your obliques control the twist
- 2Keep the rotation coming from your trunk, not your arms
- 3Push through your front heel to return to standing
Common mistakes
- Don't let your front knee cave inward during the twist
- Avoid rotating with your arms instead of your core
- Don't lean forward or let your back knee slam down
