How to do it

Sit on a bench and rest the back of your working upper arm against the inside of your thigh, holding a kettlebell with that hand. Curl the kettlebell toward your shoulder, squeezing your bicep at the top, then lower it under control to full extension.

  4. 4Keep your wrist neutral so tension stays on the bicep

Common mistakes

  • Avoid swinging or using your shoulder; keep your upper arm still
  • Don't let the kettlebell drop quickly; control the negative
  • Avoid overextending your elbow; stop just shy of full lockout
