How to do it

Lie on your back and perform a bicycle crunch, bringing each elbow toward the opposite knee. Add a small explosive lift through the torso on each crunch so the movement feels jumpy and dynamic. Keep alternating sides at a brisk pace.

  1. 1Feel your obliques fire as each elbow drives toward the opposite knee
  2. 2Keep constant tension on the abs between reps
  3. 3Pedal your legs through a full range without dropping your heels

Common mistakes

  • Don't pull on your neck with your hands
  • Avoid letting your lower back arch off the floor
  • Don't just go fast; rotate fully on each rep

Muscles worked

The jumping air bike mainly works the obliques, upper abs, and lower abs, with the hip flexors and quads assisting.
