How to do it
Stand a short distance from a sturdy box with your feet shoulder-width apart. Dip at the hips and knees to load, then explode upward and forward, driving your knees up to land softly on top of the box with both feet. Stand tall, then step back down and reset.
- 1Load your hips and explode up through your glutes and quads
- 2Swing your arms and drive your knees high to clear the box
- 3Land soft and centered with knees bent to absorb the impact
Common mistakes
- Don't catch your toes on the edge; commit fully to the jump
- Avoid landing with stiff, locked legs
- Don't jump back down; step down to save your joints
Muscles worked
