How to do it
Place both hands on a sturdy step box and walk your feet back into a plank at an incline, hands under your shoulders and body in a straight line. Drive one knee toward your chest, then quickly switch legs in a running motion, keeping your hips level and core braced as you alternate at a steady pace.
- 1Abs and hip flexors driving each knee toward your chest
- 2Shoulders stacked over your hands on the box
- 3Core working to keep your hips level and spine stable
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips sag or pike up out of plank line
- Swinging your legs with momentum instead of driving the knees
- Holding your breath or rounding your shoulders
