How to do it

Place your hands on a raised surface such as a bench or bar with your body angled in an incline plank. With your hands set in a reverse position, fingers pointing back toward you, lower your chest toward the surface and press back up. The incline reduces the load on your upper body.

  1. 1Your chest and triceps pressing you back up
  2. 2A stretch through your forearms from the reversed grip
  3. 3Your core tight and body in a straight line

Common mistakes

  • Letting your hips sag or pike up
  • Flaring your elbows out wide
  • Forcing the wrists if the reverse grip is painful
