How to do it

Stand tall, then hinge at the hips and walk your hands out into a plank position. Once in the plank, tap one hand to the front of your opposite shoulder, then the other, before walking your hands back toward your feet and standing up. Keep your hips steady and core braced through the taps.

  1. 1Brace your core hard to keep your hips level during the arm tap
  2. 2Feel your shoulders and chest stabilize the plank
  3. 3Press the floor away to keep your upper back solid

Common mistakes

  • Do not let your hips twist or sag when you tap
  • Avoid rushing the walkout and losing the plank line
  • Do not bend your knees instead of hinging at the hips
